Playday - the national day for play

On Playday, the national day for play, thousands of children and their families get out to play at hundreds of community events across the UK. More than 850 events took place to celebrate Playday 2010, making it the biggest on record. Playday 2011 will be on Wednesday 3 August - help spread the word by putting up the official promotional posters in your workplace and local community settings.

As well as a celebration of children's right to play, it is also an opportunity to raise awareness about some serious issues affecting children's play. For Playday 2011 we're inviting everyone to unite under the banner of Playday to stand up for play. We will be making the case against cuts, and supporting you to campaign locally.

Show your support by dedicating 3 August to play. You can download or order free copies of the poster and campaign postcard via the Playday website, as well as sign up to email updates. If you're organising an event, there's lots of support available via the website to help make your day memorable.
